Juneteenth is a 155-year-old holiday celebrating the ending of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, news finally reached enslaved people in Galveston, Texas that the Civil War had ended, and a new chapter of freedom began for millions of enslaved people and their families.

We collaborated with black-female-owned social media consultancy, Emi Knox Media, to design this commemorative Juneteenth Graphic Tee to honor and celebrate the symbolic day that changed the course for African-Americans. Each graphic tee purchased includes a $3 donation to the Children’s Defense Fund.

The Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) is a nonprofit child advocacy organization that focuses on improving federal policies concerning child welfare and public education systems, especially for poor children, children of color and those with disabilities.
